The Afghan Whigs finally return to North America this week to begin a tour in support of In Spades, the group's spellbinding new album. Led by the singles "Demon In Profile," "Oriole," and "Arabian Heights" along with standouts "Light As A Feather," and "Toy Automatic," it is the follow-up to the band's internationally acclaimed Do to the Beast. In Spades was recorded in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Memphis and Joshua Tree and written and produced by Greg Dulli.
The band is pleased to announce a new special New York City show at the Bowery Ballroom on September 15th. For one night only, The Afghan Whigs will perform In Spades in its entirety. At its conclusion, the band will take a short break and return for another set.
"We've been performing at Bowery Ballroom since it opened," band leader Greg Dulli remarked. "The place is truly a spiritual home for us. So for this tour we had to come back and do something special in that room."
Tickets will go on sale this Friday. There will be a fan presale starting Wednesday, September 6 at 10AM. Ticket link: http://bit.ly/2wmu66A / Password: inspades
